Carnival Glory

The Carnival Fun ships have always been decorated and designed with the “fun ship” banner in mind.
The Carnival Glory is a member of the Conquest group of ships, the same class as ships such as the Carnival Freedom and of course the Carnival Conquest. It is considered to be a large ship with a gross tonnage of 110,000 and a capacity of nearly 3000 passengers, but on a ship that size, you will never feel crowded and you will seldom have to wait in line.
This vessel has something for everyone whether young or old. For those seeking excitement and action or relaxation and peace this is the ship for you. Carnival Cruise Lines has mastered the art of entertaining and serving thousands at once.
Carnival Glory is the largest of the Carnival ships, with her sisters Carnival Conquest and the Carnival Valor. It has an all-American atmosphere. The staterooms are spacious and the balconies are plentiful, a large percentage of the rooms are outside with marvelous views, and a large percentage of those have private balconies.
The best kept secret of the Carnival Glory is the fish and chips station inside of the Redsail restaurant. It is hidden on the second floor of the Redsail at the very back. Because of the location there is never a long lineup but the fish and chips are delicious. Calamari and oysters as well as tuna and some sort of fish soup or stew is also on the menu.
In a recent cruise to the eastern Caribbean on Carnival Glory, the experience was very satisfying from a relaxation point-of-view yet there were some areas which were a little concerning. Yes, the 7 night 7 day cruise was a bargain at $950 for two people yet the cost of staying on board the ship left a little to be desired.
This cruise ship review isn’t about highlighting the negatives. The hospitality was first class and the staff fantastic. That’s what you would expect on a floating resort. It certainly made the experience worthwhile despite some of the points made above.
With all these activities and entertainment for all ages, cabins aboard the Carnival Glory–and on most Carnival ships, for that matter–are probably the most likely of any cruise line to actually be used by the majority of passengers just for the proverbial “changing and sleeping.” But it is nice to know that if guests do want to use them for more, they are comfortable homes at sea.
