Carnival Cruise Ship Triumph
The Triumph is an older, not as well designed ship, in the Triumph class of ship sailing under the Carnival banner. The theme of this ship is cities. Most of the Carnival ships are designed for fun, hence the advertising tag, “the Funships”.
Carnival cruise ship triumph will be the first of the completely new class of Carnival Cruise Lines ships. The design of the Carnival cruise ship triumph can best be described as unfortunate. It is not possible to get all the way across the Promenade deck of the ship without going up and down the stairs.
With 112,000 tons of tonnage, this ship will be the biggest ships in CCL service, though Destiny-class ships can take three hundred passengers more than her. Carnival cruise ship triumph will have also a huge spa facility, over 18,000 square ft. located on two front decks. In addition to the usual treatment rooms, the spa will also feature a thermal suite and the first thalassotherapy pool - the first such pool aboard Carnival cruise ships.
The Carnival cruise ship triumph will join her sister ship in September 2007, and feature year-round seven-day Caribbean cruises from the Port of New Orleans, becoming the largest cruise ship based at that port. With two ships sailing from New Orleans, over 300,000 cruise passengers will have the opportunity to see the re-building efforts in the Crescent City first-hand.
With the Fantasy and Carnival cruise ship triumph, Carnival expects to carry 320,000 passengers annually from New Orleans. Prior to the start-up of this program, this Carnival Triumph will offer a special one-time five-day cruise from New Orleans to Costa Maya and Cozumel departing August 28, 2007.
Guests can extend their stay in New Orleans with a variety of pre- and post-cruise land packages providing an opportunity to explore the city’s many excellent restaurants, shops and historical landmarks.
